Gallbladder problems

Anyone else have problems with their gallbladder after giving birth? I've been in so much pain. Probably gonna have to get it removed.

Mine was removed a couple months after I had my daughter. I don't know why, but a lot of pregnant women develop gallbladder issues.

They were giving me morphine last night & I was still in pain. I've never hurt so bad in my life. Going to see my regular doctor tomorrow & get the results of my ultrasound.

Some people don't have any issues, its good you didn't! I know people who have had issues with food passing thru them too quickly (not making it to the bathroom on time) I won't go into detail there, also foods that they couldn't eat because it being too harsh on their stomach, personally I have a hard time with foods not filtering properly already before making it to my stomach so I have a lot of vomiting and diarrhea(tmi) so for me it would have just made things worse. But for someone who is in constant pain all the time, I would get mine out too, it's just my pain is dependant on what I eat, so I can manage it

Well I had mine removed a year removed before I got pregnant. I needed to get it taken out because it was so bad and I was in a lot of pain where I couldn't walk but I never new there was any cons. Soon2bemama what are the cons?

Really make sure you get a couple opinions before getting your gallbladder out, I know a lot of people who have had theirs out ans have had so many issues after, worse than what they had before. I was going to have mine out (recommended by my doctor) but when I saw the surgeon he said that the cons sometimes outweigh the pros and that if Icould manage the pain by avoiding foods that will make it worse then I should do that. Just do some research of foods to avoid and see if that helps, my biggest kryptonite is greasy food and ice cream (which you may not be able to eat after surgery anyways)

Good luck with your decision, I totally know the pain you feel its not fun.
