When did you feel movement?

Ok so this is my second child. And I have heard you are meant to feel your second earlier, I don't know if that applies to me however since there is an eight year gap between them,  I am 18w4d and I haven't felt anything other then a pressure every now and then. I have thought I might have felt tiny flutters but I don't know if my mind is playing tricks. Should I have felt something by now??!! With my first I started feeling kicks at 16 weeks

That's what I was thinking too:where's your placenta? Mine luckily is in the back again this time so I could feel my baby in about a month potentially!

Your placenta might be anterior, putting a big layer of flesh between baby and the front of your belly where you feel most of those kicks and flutters - it makes it much harder to feel. Many women feel their second baby earlier but not all, I wouldn't worry about it a bit yet since the "normal" range to feel first movement is 16-20 weeks and an anterior placenta can kick that out even further. You'll probably be having an anatomy scan/gender ultrasound soon right? Ask them where your placenta is lying, they'll be able to help you out :-)
