Gestational Diabetes?

I did my glucose test at 28 weeks. I'm now 31 weeks and got a letter from my OB saying they want to talk to me about my results and she said they wouldn't contact me unless something was wrong. What are the risks for my baby or for me with having gestational diabetes? If you've had it let me know what happened please?

They will send you to a nutritionist and they will pit you on a diet. If you don't go by your diet it could effect the baby. Not sure how it will because I stayed on my diet but you also have bigger babies with gestational diabetes. I'm pregnant again and I have type 2 diabetes now.
