Gestational age concern

Hi! i recently went to the Dr. this past wed. Feb. 1st and going from my LMP the Dr. said i should be right around 7 weeks at the time of my appt wed. well we went in to listen to the heart beat for it should have formed by now and we should have been able to hear something by now because i'm right around 7 wks, well when she went in to do the transvaginal ultrasound she said it was fairly small and that we may not be as far as we thought. That the embryo looked only about 5 wks and a couple of days basically one wk behind what it was supposed to be. I had bright red spotting that night but then it stopped, the next day i had bits of brown spotting and then the thursday night a little more today is saturday and i am feeling fine i have mild cramping but thats about it. Is there a possiblity i may have a miscarriage? what are the chances? and is it normal for my gestational age not match the ultrasound? answers greatly appreciated!!!

Well my LMP was dec 15th but I had also went through a "spontaneous abortion" and thats what started my cycle for that month, so my period was longer than usual, it was 10 days long. Also before that , the previous months  my period had been somewhat irregular it was never on time, I keep track of my pd on my pd tracker which tells me that I should have been ovulating the 26th of dec. but I'm just real worried bc she said it didn't seem like I was that far they checked my progesterone levels and they were fine now were just waiting for my hcg levels to come back which prob wont be until Monday.

I'm having an ultrasound on tuesday, Feb 7. I will be 7 weeks and 1 day. This my 4th pregnancy and the first time I've had one done this early.
From what I've read online I really wasn't expecting to hear a heartbeat. I thought that I would just see it and maybe get the bpm.

My LMP was Dec 22 and I ovulated early.
Were you tracking your ovulation? You could have ovulated later than you thought which would make the fetus not as far along.
I'm worried about not seeing anything either. Stressful.

They always give about a 2week leway.      U could have spotted do to the ultrasound.   Pressure it puts on the cervix can make u cramp and spot.   But wgen in doubt.   Ask ur dr
