They only make u take meds if u cant control ur sugars and they see there hi its gestinal diabetes u get it from being preg but i asked and they will test me again after baby is born to see if it goes away or not doc say most of the times it goes away but theres a chance u can still have it after baby thats why its best if we eat healthy after baby so we have less chances of it staying
Not all babies will be big. My little one is measuring small. Don't stress out.
I have it as well as of right now all I have to do is check my sugar and count my carbs. If your levels run high they will make you start taking medicine for it. Don't freak out until you meet with the specialist and your doctor. It could just be your body slowing down while your pregnant. The baby won't necessarily have diabetes when it's born.
How long did it take for them to call you? They took my blood Monday
Gestational diabetes goes away after you're done being prego. That's why it's Gestational diabetes and not type one or two. Just eat better and avoid sugars. Take care of your body and you should be ok. You just might have a bigger baby :)
You guys have relieved done of my stress I have that class tomorrow. I'm a sugarholic but I have to do what's best for us both..
I was told inhad this at 30 weeks baby has been measuring big and i was unable to get my sugars under control somi have been in tablets and injecting insulin for me this was horrific as im terrified of needles but promise its not bad you can barely feel them. Im now 38 weeks and am sat in hospital having been induced waiting for my little man to arrive dont stress too much as its not good for either of you. But as everyone else said try to keep sugar down all inwould say is dont stip yourswlf from having a treat every once in a while youn will only crave it more of tou stop it completely good luck im sure you will be fine x

It's unlikely that baby will be born with diabetes but there is a risk of larger babies and having to deliver sooner.in addition to avoiding sweet things also avoid high carb levels. Carbs are just complex sugars. Also try eating small meals every two to three hours verses large meals three times a day.lots of water and walking will also help keep blood sugar levels better.
Thanx, do you have to take medication?
I got it about 1 month 1/2 ago and i was like wth i never had it with my 4 prev preg so the first days were stressful they just make u check ur blood about 4 times a day to make sure ur sugar is not high and they give u a diet so u can control what u eat but its more about the sugary things u have to control it because u have more of a chance of having a bigger baby im 33 wks now and ive been having to go to the doc every wk last wk doc said they will do another ultrasound to check on babys weight when im 36 wks and if he looks big they will deliver him early my due date is aug 2 but if they deliver him early i have like 21 days im going to the doc today will see what they say , but about the diabetes u just have to get the hang of it and check ur blood after eating and try avoiding too much sugary thinags things gd luck
