Glucose Test!

Well, didn't know today was my glucose test, but... I just downed it lol The fruit punch kind isn't that bad. I remember the orange & cola flavors from my first pregnancies & ewwww. I'm waiting now for my blood test. & I gained weight!  Yay! Last time I was here I was 183lbs (6wks ago), now I'm 196lbs! Whoop whoop! 26wks 2days btw :)

I've never had to fast.  I asked if I sound have eaten,  she said it didn't matter.  You get to choose the flavor of the drink (fruit punch,  orange, grape,  cola) but they are 50g bottles.

I didnt find the drink that bad at sll. I passed my hour test with flying colors! Good luck!

My doctor office only has two flavors and the Orange taste the best

Goodbh that all depends on your Dr. For the 1 hour test some drs have you fast and some tell you to eat normally. As for the 3 hour, you always have to fast

They all have different levels of glucose in them. Usually you don't get to choose.

Do you get to pick which drink you want ?? Or do they just give you one ?

^^^ well I think the nurse was wrong that means I would've gained 13lbs in 6wks. Dont see that happening.

Lucky.... The weight you gained from your last visit is all the weight I'm allowed to gain my entire pregnancy

Lol thanks! Yes its normal to gain weight in pregnancy I'm not ashamed.  Plus, I'm all belly.

Wait... I'm thinking I'm gonna ask the nurse to check my weight again.. 196 is a bit much,  maybe she meant 186lbs that would be more realistic.

I didn't think that test was bad either.  Hopefully you passed. I failed the 1 hour but passed my 3 hour test. Good luck momma! By the way,  you're the first one I've seen that is happy about gaining weight lol. Good for you! Embrace it!
