Glucose Test
So I have my glucose test my next appt and I picked the lemon flavor it tastes like flat watery sprite! Its so gross!! (I was able to sample flavors). Nurse says I cannot eat after 10pm the night before and to only drink water and munch on ice. Im scared I will fail but I pray every day I dont.. If I dont pass what does that exactly mean for me and baby?
Well you'll have a temporary pregnancy diabietes and all you'll have to do is diet and exercise so baby doesn't have problems before being born. And I guess you'll be prone to get diabietes later in life. Idk something like that but it's not something to worry about.
It doesn't mean anything other than you have to go for the 3 hour test and then depending on if you pass or fail they will tell you what to do to monitor basically if you do have gestational diabetes there's just a higher risk of a higher birth weight so your baby could just get really big
