What happens if i eat before the testing?

I ate & I passed. With my son I failed so did both of my sisters but when we were having girls we passed it everytime

I was told not to fast just to eat something with protein not something high in sugar. I actually had egg whites and toast right before my appt and I passed

My OB told me to eat toast with peanut butter before... lol so everywhere is different.

Yes everyone is different and some people can still pass when they eat but obviously you dont want to risk it. Its best just to follow their instructions so you dont fail if you dont have to.

We don't have to fast where I live, but I wouldn't eat or drink anything with a lot of sugar in it.

Everyone doesn't fall if you eat. I went in to an appointment eating an activia and didn't know I was taking the test until the nurse told me when I got called back and I passed my test.

I ate 1 and a half hour before my 1 hour test and passed. It's different for everyone, I guess. But I was starving and couldn't make it any longer!

Yeah thats what i meant after midnight. I know its hard not to eat becaise you can get weak or pass out. But i failed mine because right before midnight i ate dessert so i failed by a couple points. So its best just to eat something low carb and low sugar around 1130. No bread pasta milk desert rice sugar cereal fruit yogurt. Its best to eat some low carb veggies maybe some cottage cheese. Then just try to hold out. Because even chewing a piece of gum can make you fail and failing is awful i failed and had to track everything i ate and test my blood 4 times a day.

Well i went the first time and got the tests and only had to stay an hour they never told me i couldn't eat. But now i have to go back And stay for three hours. And she told me not to eat after 12.and i go at 8:30 in the morning. And usually when i don't eat i get sick and pass out. That's why this is a big deal for me.

Youll fail thats why they ask you to fast. Usually the first one is an hour before you fast and the second if you fail the first is 12 hours before
