Going into labor??

So my due date is tomorrow. I've been getting cramps the last couple days since I got my membranes sweeped on Friday. Anyways since this afternoon I've noticed my cramps coming more often. I had some friends over so I didnt start timing them until a little while ago. I started timing at 9:46 then the next at 10:26 & now the third at 10:56. Could I be going into labor. I mean if I am I know its not until the 4-1-1 that I go to the hospital, I'm just curious how many regular contractions do I need to count before I can think I'm going into labor. Also, they range from 45 seconds to 2 minutes. Does it mean anything for how long they last. I would really appreciate some info.

Lol OK thank you ladies. I wasn't planning on going to the hospital at least until they were 4 minutes apart for a minute each for a whole hour, I was just curious if I'm starting the process of going into labor. I'm anxious as you can probably tell. I'm just going to go to sleep & hope that I wake up in labor.

Mine were crazy with my daughter.  2 minutes isn't much til they get stronger and closer together. I waited 24 hours before I went to the hospital then still didn't have her for another 24 hours.  But everyone is different.

Sadly its not going to be much help until they are 5-6 minutes apart , if they're longer time apart they'll just send you home and encourage you just to stay in bed and rest lol :/ happened to me

I just had another one at 11:39 & it lasted abour 35 seconds, so does that mean they are irregular now. I'm just excited/nervous/hopeful all at the same time.

Yeah just keep timing them just to make sure , and if they are BH drink water it'll slow them down . good luck (:

Mine always last long like that. Sometimes they've been super painful but right now they're not really painful. I've never thought to ask my doctor why the BH last long the way they do. I'm going to give it a couple more & then I'll go in if they keep being consistent. Thank you!!

I personally never had my contractions last that long , I've been having them for 3 days straight now. But just to be safe I'd go in, always better safe then sorry. Since you are so far along and full term it might be labor (:

So what does it mean that some of mine are lasting as long as 2 minutes? Is this normal?

My Dr says if you have them for at least an hour to an hour and a half , if they're at least 40 seconds long and when they are 5-6 minutes apart is the time to go to the hospital. If your water doesn't break that's fine because only 15% of women's water break on its own. Keep timing them , good luck (:
