I am gbs positive i was so worried and scared thinking i did something wrong when i found out, if you are positive dont be scared they know exactly what they are dealing with. I have to go in sunday night @6pm to start antibiotics for it.

Gbs is a bacterium that can cause serious infections in a newborn, including pneumonia and meningitis. If you test positive for it doctors will just prescribe intravenous (IV) antibiotics during labor and delivery to prevent transmission to your baby

Just a swab of the viginal area. Some women get the bacteria while pregnant.  Total nothing to freak out about. I had it with 2/3 of my pregnancies.  You will get an antibiotic during labor to prevent baby from.getting the affection.
