HCG Doubling Rate...slowing down??

I have two children, and have since had two consecutive miscarriages, the last one being in April.  Im now pregnant for our third attempt of having another child, and for obvious reasons am scared to death of another M/C.  I have an ultrasound at 7w2d, but am going a little looney and getting my blood drawn for HCGs, just to make sure its still there.  I dont feel one bit pregnant, either.

My HCGs have been steadily rising, and are currently at 8607 (8/20). I am 5d5w pregnant.

My previous draws have been:

8/20 8607 5w5d
8/17 4983 5w2d
8/12 1323 4w3d
8/10 513 4w1d

My doc is out until monday and the next three nights of waiting to hear from him is going to kill me.  How do these numbers look to you?  Should I be concerned?

THANK YOU!!!!

I know what you're going thru!! After 2 consec ectopics those HCG levels had me going CRAZY with anxiety & also had bloods done every 2nd/3rd day until I had to stop because I couldn't handle the waiting! Those numbers look great and long may they continue to!!

I've heard that they only need to double 80% within 48-72 hours to have a viable pregnancy and that the further along you get the longer it will take for them to double.

Thank you so much for the positive words.  I am comparing everything to my last pregnancy...not only are the numbers themselves much lower, but they are not doubling or more than doubling every two days like they did the last time.  I am trying to stay as positive as I can till I talk to him on Monday but scared to death of what he will say. =(

btw, where from Ireland is your DH? Mine is from Ireland too - Ballinsaloe, County Galway

the numbers look fine. The HCG numbers slow down as they get higher so dont let that scare you. Good luck with the ultrasound.
