I had bleeding a few weeks ago and it was dark brown and then red and heavy with a clot. as long as you are not cramping you are not miscarrying. If you are 8 weeks you will feel pain when having a miscarriage. the bleeding I had was due to a hemorrhage. Get it checked out and make them give you an internal ultrasound as well as an external ultrasound just so they can check and make sure baby is ok and the placenta is healthy and everything else is ok internally ... good luck if you have questions please message me I went thru he'll and back the first few weeks. Me and my husband swore I was having a miscarriage but thank god the baby is ok and I am almost 12 weeks now !!!

I'd be second guessing my doc sinve it seems like they are just thinking along the lines of miscarriage signs vs signs of things like bacterial vaginosis etc
