The mercury in tuna is not okay. N tuna has the highest mercury status of fish. I think if its a tuna salad that u crave like tuna w. Mayonnaise try chicken salad. It is very similar in taste especially if seasoned the same way. The chicken comes in a can like tuna.
Tuna is fine twice a week
Do not eat raw fish! If you are going to eat sushi try the cooked sushi, like California rolls and the tempura sushi with shrimp. But canned tuna is ok. I think about 12 oz. A week is what I was told. It's a bummer for me too because I crave it and want it all the time.
I've eaten it plenty of times and was fine after so I don't think it's bad to eat.
I went to a pregnancy nutritional class and she said tuna amd salmon were both fine. She also stated she ate sushi her entire pregnancy. I wouldn't eat sushi, because it can be risky, but I think tuna is fine.
A couple cans a week is totally fine.
