HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE

Today I'm 38 weeks. Just these last few weeks I've been starting to have high blood pressure and I'm confused. I would be in normal ranges like around 120 all throughout my pregnancy. But just my last 2 appointments its been around 147 every time. I havent had any complications my pregnancy has been so smooth. I just don't know why... This is my first baby and I'm 20 years old. All my doctor said was to have a low sodium diet. Anyone else that can relate or has an issue with high blood pressure ?

147 isn't too bad and your bp does increase towards the end of pregnancy, you might be ablento get it down through diet and rest. I have preeclamplsia and mine is usually around 160/90 with bp meds and doesn't go down with rest or diet. I had it witj my first too and he was delivered at 35wks when bp was 170/140. Take care and rest up, you're so close now!

I haven't experienced it personally but it's very normal to have higher blood pressure in the last few weeks. Since your bp has been normal all along, it's probably a mild case of preeclampsia and it usually goes away after labor & delivery.
