Had a D&E 12 days ago.

Had a D&E 12 days ago. My HCG is 8. I am experiencing thick brown drainage with a nagging pressure on my lower right side. The drainage is like a consistent drip nothing filling a pad within an hour but enough that I have to wear a regular pad and not a mini. Doctors keep saying it will go away. Drainage and pressure seem to increase with activity. It is not pain though and there hasn't been red bleeding. What could be wrong?

I also had light spotting for a couple of weeks after my D&C.  Make sure you follow up on your HCG levels to make sure they get back down to negative, to ensure that all the tissue was removed.
Good Luck!

I guess I will wait it out. I am passing drainage at a consistent drip so I guess I will just monitor it and keep an eye on the right side discomfort. It just seems odd that the discomfort is present along with the drainage. Hope they didn't leave anything or I did too much physical activity before I should have.

Who  knows? I have an appointment next week. I have one tomorrow if I want to go. Not sure what they can do at this point. I think I can safely assume if this is still going on next that I must have something going on.

firstly im really sorry to hear about your D&E....i had a D&E 3/3 and my HCG didnt drop quite as quick as yours

also i dont recall having that drainage...i did spot for about 12 days after the procedure and my doc told me light duty for 2 weeks....then at my 2 week check up i was able to return to normal activities...

maybe you just should take it easy for a couple of days and ask your doc if you arent sure...trust me....i bombed my doc with 24 questions at my follow up appt...was there for over 2 hours and wouldnt leave til she gave me some type of answer

best of luck to you
