Haircut during pregnancy

Hello. I am about 21 weeks pregnant and I need a haircut. I was just wondering if there is any problem with getting a haircut during pregnancy. I heard some old wives tales that you should not cut your hair during pregnancy. Is there any truth to it?

Thank you ladies. I am going to make appt today. I will not do any coloring, just the cut.

I think the only reason why that's been passed around is because they say when your pregnant and you've got all those weird hormonal things goin on you tend to make crazy decisions. And getting your hair done different is one of them...HA...I'm a great example. When I was pregnant I had long straight beautiful hair and all of a sudden when I was about 7 months preg I got a wild hair up my booty and decided to get a PERM!!?? Can you believe that? I dont know what I was thinking. Thankfully I straightend it back out before my baby was born and the shower came so I didn't look crazy in my pics...I'm not saying there is anything wrong with a perm on other people but it was DEFINITELY wrong for me...HA!!

i have my hair cut every 4 wks dont worry it cant harm you i have had my hair coloured twice since being pregnant at the hair dressers. Have it cut it will make you feel better.

yeah go ahead and get ur haircut.... they only suggest not using hair dye in the first trimester but thats not set in stone either....

GO get your hair cut, it will make you feel great!!! The only thing the don't reccomend is perms (more because of changes in your hormones) and defianlty no chemical straightening. Also sometimes as far as hair coloring and lightening goes your hair can respond differently so sometimeseven your normal formula will come out different.

Cutting your hair isnt going to do any harm whatsoever! Neither will hair color as long as you feel ok during the process and its well ventilated. :)

There is no problem with cutting your hair but ive heard you should avoid hair dye with ammonia
