cot bumpers safe or not??

Hi, im currently pregnant with my first child so its all new i was just wondering if cot bumpers are safe to use with a newborn or not? Thanks

I know people who used them for their kids and their children are okay. But I was also informed by many people that there are risks with them rolling over and not beign able to breathe and such. I have been told not to use them because their not safe. Someone actually told me it's almost as bad as using pillows for them. Then again many people use them and their children are fine. I would ask your doctor how they feel about it due to so much hear say and back and forth. I think it's better to have my doctors help about some things.

Im gonna b a ftm in feb and I will b using them hun my thought is if theyre not safe why would they keep making them? I understand ur concern I was a bit worried too at 1st but my mum used them and shes had 4 kids xxx

No they're not safe. Not even the "breathable ones"

My daughter is 15 months and she's sleep crawling while in bed. I also put her bumpers back on cuz she kept hitting her head on the bars. In my case they are safe.

I used them with my son n still do now that he's 14 months I took them off for about a week but wen I would go n check on him he would have his arm or leg sticking through the bars which worried me so I put them back on
