Has anyone had a stress test done?

I'm past my due date which was Sunday the 22nd. My dr wants me to go to the hospital Saturday to have a stress test done on the baby. Depending on how things go with that I will then be scheduled to be induced if he still doesn't come by then. Have any of you ladies had a stress test done? What do they do?

Yea I had them done weekly with my son at the end. they just put this belly band that has a monitor attached to it around you and you stay overnight and they monitor the baby to make sure it doesn't stop moving or it's heart slows.
