Has anyone had this experience??

I've posted before so some may recognize my situation......I found on Wed. 12/5 that I had twins w/ no heartbeat (8.5 weeks) and refused a D&C b/c I had no signs of miscarriage and know that ultraounds are not 100%....I had Hcg levels drawn Wed. evening (13,000) and again on Fri. afternoon (11,000), so they dropped which is bad.....I've come to terms (for the most part) with this cruddy situation.  Due to not getting Hcg results until 4:15pm on Fri., I was unable to schedule the D&C and am sitting here (all weekend) waiting for something to happen....I'm going thru changes.....breasts less tender, no more nausea, getting pimples...So I know I'm dropping...I'm hoping that b/c I only dropped 2,000 in apprx. 48 hours, that I can hold off until Mon. and schedule the D&C and end this nightmare......I can't sleep at night (since Wed.) b/c I'm in the bathroom every 1/2 hour to see if anything has started.....Is there always cramping with miscarriages?  Why are my levels dropping so slowly?  If one twin died is it possible that the other is still alive and that's why my levels are dropping slowly (and they might go back up once the one has passed)...I'm sure not but my Dr. office stinks and they just wanted me (from the second they saw no HB's) do the D&C.......Why haven't I just miscarried already?   Not sure if anyone has a similar situation or not....

That's the best story EVER!  So glad it worked out!  I wish the same for myself but due to decreasing Hcg levels, I pretty know there's no hope....I was just wondering about all of the miscarriage symptoms, etc....never had one, waiting for one, nothing happening yet......frustrating...I just want it to be over with at this point...Thanks for the reply!  ..

I was 9 weeks along and starting to bleed -more like gush- alot of  blood and went to the hospital they did a vaginal ultrasound and a regular ultrasound. They told me that I had lost my baby. So they sheduled me to do a d&c and the day I went to do it they decided to do another ultrasound and what do you know there is a heartbeat!! A really strong heartbeat which wasnt dectected the day they told me I had a miscarriage. So it turns out I lost a twin but the other twin was still there. And now she's 3 years old and a beatiful little girl. I hope things do work out for you and that they find a heartbeat.

If levels drop it is almost surely a miscarriage and by 8 1/2 weeks you should be able to see at least one heartbeat. During my first pregnancy I miscarried. I went in for a routine ultrasound at 9 weeks and found out that the baby was measuring 6 1/2 and that there was no heartbeat. I ended up getting a D & C two days later because it was a missed miscarriage meaning that my body wasn't getting rid of it on my own. I'm so sorry that are having to go through this. I will keep you in my prayers.

I have a friend thatwas pregnant and she started bleeding the doctor told her that she had miscarried. I think she was about 7 months at the time. They wanted to to do a D&C but she said no. She went back into the dr. office a couple days later and her son was just fine. Now she had a perfectly healthy son. I will pray for you also. What will be will be.Be strong!

I had severe cramping with my miscarriage, my dh had to help me get up from the couch because I was in so much pain and I was only at 7 weeks. Maybe there is still hope if you don't have cramping....keep you head up and have faith! Bless you!
