Have my 12 weeks scan in 3 days - petrified!

I have my 12 week scan on 14th Feb and absolutely petrified that something might go wrong! Read so many posts about missed m/c and now think it might happen to me. It is rediculous I know but can't stop thinking about the posts that I read where girls were told their babys didn't have heartbeat at 12 weeks. It's heartbreaking. My heart goes to them. I don't feel sick anymore however still tired, pee often and have sore nipples. Sometimes get an odd cramp but does not last for too long. No bleeding either, stopped abt 2-3 weeks ago. What are the chances to have missed m/c? What are the signs? I read on the net that it can go on for a few weeks without any signs?

You know, I worry about this every single time, and I'm edging towards 22 weeks. Everytime I have an upcoming appointment I still worry something may have gone wrong in there, and I just don't know it. And at this point I feel her moving around in there occasionally, so it's not as much of a logical worry...my OB says worrying about your child is just part of motherhood, and every pregnant mother she sees has this concern. Just try to relax as much as you can and focus on the positive, like the joy of seeing or hearing your baby again at your appointment. It does sound like you're right on track with symptoms and such, so I'm sure your baby is fine. :)

Good luck for Tue Sorenr & Tiny321! And to me! I will be thinking of you both on that day and from my heart wishing you only all the best. I think u/s machines should be available to buy at the local chemist lol Well, why not? Could avoid so much stress and trips to the docs. Anyway, just a thought )).

I'm having my 19 wk detailed scan on valentines day too! Fingers crossed we both have a lovely day!! I'm great at telling others not to worry but the missed miscarriage stories have me scared too, thankfully I've started feeling some movements but not often enough to keep me from worrying! You'd think I'd be more chilled out 3rd time around! Good luck, I'm sure all will be well xx

It's no nice to hear positive comments. And I thank you for that. Jwilliams good luck for Monday! Please let me know how you got on. Helen38 - I will be the happiest women on this planet if I hear the heartbeat of my baby on Tue! My partner is so excited and can't stop talking abt how excited he is abt the scan. I really don't want to let him down. It would break his heart as I had a m/c with first pregnancy.

I go Monday for a belly check and I am 12 weeks. I try to stay positive everything is going well. My dr said when you hear the heart beat the chance of misscarrage goes down to less than 1 percent. I saw the little peanut on ultrasound at 9 weeks do can't wait to see it again at 16 weeks. Once I hear the heartbeat on Monday I'll be at ease. As much as my heart goes out to those that have loss their little ones, I try not to read them as they freak me out and don't want added stress.

I'm sute It's all going to be fine. But totally understand the worrying part.
We got heartbeat at 6wks too and since then every ultrasound i got scared and worry about what if they find something worng. We can really drive ourselves crazy with that, lol.
Once you heard the heartbeat at your next ultrasound, you will be fill with so much joy and excitement. It's going to be great. Enjoy :)

Thanks for yor comments guys! Much appreciated. I am trying not to worry but I think it's only just natural. To be honest the past two years have been absolutely awful for me and I think it's a very bad reflection on my attetude. I just don't believe that good things can happen to me. I saw hearbeat at 5.4 & 6.5 weeks but had no u/s since then. I am just really hoping that nothing has changed and my baby is fine. Not much I can do really just wait I suppose.

I too feel the same way. My wife and I went to the doc for our 9 weeks. Heartbeat was at 164 and was told look good but you could never tell. My wife throws up everyday since week 4 and it scary to know something could be wrong anytime. When I read stuff here I get so scared and really command my wife to only lay down and rest. I pray every night and hope this can help..

U seem right on track. I wouldn't worry it causes stress for u n the baby. I hv had to preterm preg . But my last preg told me y. I hv a bicornuate uterus. I am 19 weeks now. Nd I had a cerclage for my cervix.  Nd i take 17 oh progestrone shots every week. . I have read so mang neg things bout my situation and all is diferent. Many woman are not aware of what to do. But my advice for u is to keep reading but every woman is different. I read the website for leisure and support. I like to beaware of new info. So mommy to be DNT worry . I keep a very positive attitude.
