It took me a while to find the HB at 10w2d, the first time I found it with a home doppler. It took patients (sp? lol) and I had to press in DEEP with the doppler/wand. It's normal not to hear the HB. I didn't hear it on doppler til 13 or 14w at the doctors office. Don't worry!
When I was 10wks, my doctor couldn't find my son's heartbeat. I was freaking out, but she told me that it's not uncommon and not to worry, but of course I freak out. At my next appointment, we were able to hear and see it! Everything turned out just fine!
Thanks that helps me a lot but I do know that I worry to much and really have since the miscarriage. I just have never heard that before that you should hear something at 10 weeks is what I have always heard. Thanks again
What the doctor said is absolutely correct - its very common not to hear the heart beat with a doppler until after 12 weeks. 10 weeks really is very early. In some cases it can take even longer than 12 weeks! The fact you didnt hear a HB at this gestational age is VERY normal and nothing to be concerned about. Easier said than done, I know.
