Heartburn and tums aren't helping!

I have horrible heartburn to where I can feel burning in my throat! I took tums and they aren't helping! Any suggestions?

I found that the milk does help but tonight we don't have any and the heartburn came up again! ):

U can get pepcid perscribed from dr take it at night. And also can take tums after you eat. Acid reflux ***** and it only gets worse (for some people) i have had it since day 1. Only get it when pregnant. Thats what urged me to take a test when i found out lol. Hope i figure it out.

If you really can't stand it ask your docror if you can take pepcid. Its safe to take while pregnant but ask first.  Works great

I have heartburn just about every night and drink a glass of milk and it's gone! Actually just made my boyfriend bring me some before he left for work because I woke up and it was killling me! It's better now! :)

Chocolate milk! Because on the ph scale both chocolate and milk are both more basic to neutral. I drink a cup and its gone! :) actually wish I had gotten some at the store tonight!

I get that too. I dont even get heartburn in my chest its always in my throat :( only thing i found to work was zantac. I had to get it prescribed through my dr.
