mothers with anxiety and depression.

I know it's normal to worry about the baby, but I feel like I worry too much. I've had a rough pregnancy, emotion wise. I've always struggled with anxiety and depression, but i'm worried that my panic attacks have hurt the baby. Everything looks fine with her, but what if I made her slow? I Just need to hear what happens when you have that while pregnant, and if she will be ok.

My anxiety is much better this pregnancy as we tried for this bubba & planned everything out ect so it's not too overwhelming (although I still experience anxiety) my previous pregnancy I was 21 she was a total suprise & although my partner & I had been close friends for several years we'd only been dating a few months. I had constant panic attacks through the first half of my pregnancy. You need to speak to your doc about the frequency. Mine weren't frequent orlong enough to warrant medication (risk vs benefit of taking medication) but if they are very freuqent they may want to give you medication as the only worry with panic attacks is the lack of oxygen you & baby receive during them.

Im due wednesday. Ive had issues all through, and worried the same. Im having a c section wednesday. My son is 100% fine, ive had a ton of panic attacks and it made it worse thinking about how it may effect him. But my dr has assured me that he is fine, hes more active than most babies my dr has seen. So im sure your baby is fine as well. My mom also has anxiety and depression, she made it through 3 pregnancies, my sisters and i are all fine and when it comes to school we are all 3 above average. My mom said she had many panic attacks with all of us.

Your panic attacks won't hurt your baby. Neither will anxiety or depression. You do want to make sure your blood pressure stays in check though. And you definitely want to talk to your doctor about it. They shouldn't judge you. It's not uncommon for pregnant women to become depressed if they weren't before.  I experienced it and my baby was fine. But it can make things more difficult for you if you don't talk to your doctor and any support people you have.  It will also help your doctor in preparing for your delivery.

She will be fine. I have anxiety and depression issues that got much worse when I was pregnant with my son. I worried about him constantly, to the point that I barely slept my whole pregnancy. He came out healthy and is now a very smart 22 month old.
