I called my doctor yesterday because my daughter gets them atleast 5X's a day and they said its not a concern
Thank you all so much that really helps I was so Worried!!!!! And I hate Google so much when it comes to information on your unborn child. :) but I'm glad it's all okay I'm 37weeks 1 day
Mine gets them 2-3 times a day most days and they last several minutes. I think it's cute but terribly awkward for me because of where his head is in my pelvis. 35+3.
I just did the same thing last week, looked it up on the Internet and panicked and called my doctor. She said hiccups are a sign of a healthy baby. My baby gets them twice a day for about 15 minutes!
Hiccups are very common and nothing to worry about. They will also happen very frequently after baby is born so beat to get used to them!
I've not heard of hiccups being a bad thing. It shows that baby is practising his/her breathing and swallowing techniques. My daughter has hiccups everyday. It's normal. God bless!
I heard is nothing to worry abt too, bt i hate when its happening, just worry if my baby its ok... I dnt like having hiccups my self and i am aduld so just hope that doesn't hurt my baby... I am 34 weeks and i feel twice a day as well... X
I wouldn't worry. My baby had hiccups all the time, definatly more than twice a day. I too googled it and got freaked out about the things I found! But she was born perfectly healthy.
Here's how I look at it now. You can google ANYTHING about pregnancy and find both good things and bad. No symptoms, every symptom, heartburn, peeing too much, not peeing enough, too much movement etc. All of them you can find horror stories for! I spent my entire pregnancy on google stressing myself out.
Hiccups are perfectly normal up to several times a day. Now if your baby was doing it nonstop that may be cause for concern but it sounds like it is well within the range of normal. So I wouldn't worry.
My last two pregnancys towards the end my two always had hiccups, never any concern so wouldn't worry. Spoke to my doc and midwife about it and they said it was fine and just happens more to some than others! So don't worry.
Also I found the feeling amazing :)
