Help! Flying in the first trimester.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could give me some insight into whether it is safe to fly in the first trimester. It would be 5-6hours each way.
I'd like to hear some real life experiences - i had a miscarriage in july and am in the 2ww - i don't want to book a holiday if it won't be safe to fly if i do become pregnant.

Thank you

I flew from New York to Denver and back again when I was 8 weeks.  I'm now 32 weeks and doing great.  Just make sure you get up every hour or so and move your legs around and stay hydrated with water.  You'll be fine.

Most doctors say it is safe to fly throughout your whole pregnancy until about week 34. Before that I've heard from one person on here who says recent research has proven that it may not be safe to fly during the first trimester. However what I personally think is that miscarriages are unstoppable and I doubt that flying will have any effect. I flew in my first trimester and in my 3rd trimester and my daughter was fine both times. That is even with me having a miscarriage 6 weeks before I conceived her and bleeding from a subchorionic hematoma for 5 weeks during the first trimester.
