Help if you can.

Hi everyone as some of you know i got a bfp a couple of days ago. I have a condition called psd its a blood clotting disorder.I found this out just before christmas. I had tests done because i have had 4 miscarriages all in all. So i now have to take a baby aspirin as soon as i get a positive hpt and then a 6 weeks i have to have a scan to see heart beat and if all well i have to have clexane injections daily to thin my blood. Has anyone had to do this? if so will i have to do them all the way through my pregnancy. Im not the best person to have injections especially when ive got to do them myself, do they hurt? Im so happy im pregnant and so scared at the same time.

I don't have much information about this but there are MANY women on the Fertility forum who do and have experience with blood thinners and pregnancy - just create a post with clotting disorder during pregnancy and you need help :-) The women there are nice and helpful (I'm on there too!). Good luck!!

Congratssssssssssss!!!!

I to have seen many post where women had to take baby aspirin and heparin or lovenox injections. You have to give them in you subquetanious tissue(fat tissue) but i think those shots can only be given in belly. The needles are just a tad bit bigger than an insulin needle so you will fill a poke, If you had a flu shot b4, those hurt and those are way much bigger needles so it would not feel like that.

Bcuz its a blood thinner i assume your dr would have you stop taking it maybe 2 weeks b4 your due date, being pregnancy is like a surgery, they dont want you to bleed out.  I was taking baby apirin one point in my life and i cut my finger chopping onions, omg how it took for every to get the bleeding to stop. So you want to be careful once starting, oh yeah, if you already dont bruise easily, being on a blood thinner will make you bruise easily.

But make sure you write a list of questions about your concerns for the dr so you can ask them at the next appt.

Hi there! I have heard of many women needing to take baby aspirin because of blood clotting disorders. But I don't know how long you have to take medication. Most likely it will be the entire pregnancy.

Injections--- that's hard to say if it will be painful. I know that over time it will begin to get really sore, especially if it is in your bottom. I know this because of a friend of mine.

Good luck and hoping your little one sticks!!!
