I was told by the psychiatrist, psychologist and gynecologist that Prozac was not safe. I would not risk taking a chance that it may or may not be safe.

I stopped taking my lexapro as SOON as I found out I was pregnant. Therefore, I know Prozac and xanax aren't safe.

Prozac is a class c drug, no tests have been done to see whether it's harmful or not. My doctor kept me on it when I found out I was pregnant at 6 weeks. I am 23 weeks now and the baby is doing just fine :) I am not sure about xanex. Just make sure you talk to your doctor to figure out what is right for you.

Prozac is not safe. It causes birth defects. I had to stop taking it as soon as I found out I was pregnant.

I'm with acline I Also had to get off Zoloft. And I'm pretty sure I've seen warning commercials of Prozac leading to birth defects. But I'm not sure. Talk to your doctor :)

If I had to stop taking zoloft, I'm pretty sure prozac and xanex is a no-no. Talk to your doc.

No, it is not safe, especially in the first trimester. I had to stop taking them as soon as my pregnancy test was positive.  When I was in the middle of my second trimester, the doctor said that there were safe antidepressants to take under the care of a psychiatrist but since I am now 32 weeks, I am doing my best to just stick it out without the meds. Good luck.
