High BP

I have been at the hospital all day being monitored for my blood pressure. The midwife told me it was high at 140/90 but when the doctor came after 4 hours waiting she said that's not too high and sent me home. I'm now worrying about it. Do you think this is high or not?

Definitely try not to worry. Stress can elevate blood pressure and that just compounds the issue. It's just a little elevated, nothing that's dire right now. If you notice vision changes, swelling, n/v, vertigo, severe headaches or anything see your doctor immediately.

I deal with high blood pressure due to pregnancy when it reaches 150/90 is when they start worrying about it and usually start meds, when it gets 170/110 is stroke level. So I'd just watch it

I'm 37 weeks today. I will call my own midwife in the morning and see what she thinks. I feel because they were so busy I was fobbed off. I do have protein in my urine and had a headache for days.

Normal bp is about 120/80 or less. I had pre eclampsia with my first and it was 160/100 so they took my son 2 weeks early and I had no clue or symptoms that it was high. It seems a little high to me. How many weeks are you?
