How can u tell the difference from your mucus plug coming out in pieces and discharge. For a few weeks now I've got like stringy discharge and now I'm thinkn if its been my mucus plug

I'm on my second child. And I am 37 weeks and 3 days. I'm also dilated to 2cm and I am 50 percent effaced. They mentioned I had already lost it. Honestly, some people have green, blood (hints the bloodie show), yellowish discharge coming out of them. I have had nothing but white discharge the same as always. I didn't know I lost it with my first child either. Every pregnancy is different.
I've had stringy discharge at the beginning of my pregnancy and they told me I had a yeast infection.
