Home test Positive Doctors urine test inconclusive

I've had 2 home tests using First Response and both were positive. They were taken 2 days apart. The first test, the positive line was much stronger than the second test.

I have been to my gp and throughout the course of 9 days I have had 3 urine tests each using the first sample of the day, but each test has come back inconclusive?

The complication is, I have also taken an after morning pill to stop pregancy can this effect the tests?
It has been 8 weeks since my last period and my stomach is bloated, I am constantly hungry , tired and I suffer from headaches.

I took the after morning pill about 5 weeks ago due to condom break beofre I knew I could be pregnant.

I have already mentally accepted that I am pregnant due to the home test but I just want a professional to confirm this, so I can start preparing.Otherwise if I am not pregnant what is happening to me? This is why I am worried!
I've made another appointment to see my GP again this thursday as I can't take any more time off work but it this is causing me so much stress...

I also read somewhere that if the morning after pill fails that you are at an increase of having an ectopic pregnancy. This makes it even more important for the u/s since if it is not found in time it is possible to loose a tube. Ectopic pregnancies are usually not discovered until too late since many docs ignore the low HCG and don't perform a u/s until 10 - 12 weeks.

Here is an article on ectopic pregnancy, it does say about the increased likely hood with the morning after pill

The morning after pill won't affect at this time, it is already too late. Have they done a beta HCG, do you know the actual numbers? Unfortunately, if you aren't doubling then an ultrasound needs to be performed to see if this is a viable pregnancy. You should be able to see a heartbeat around week 6 and definitely a gestational sac. By 8 weeks, you should be able to see a developing baby. Here is a good website about fetal growth depending on gestational age of fetus in first trimester.

i think that if you do take the morning after pill it can affect the tests because doesnt it basicallly cause your body to miscarry? i dont really know much about that pill, but if you took it after you KNEW you were pregnant thats is not good. how long ago did you take those hpts?
