Hormone problems?

I recently went to the Gyno because I have had not stop spotting for the past few months and at first I thought it was just stress because things had been really stressful. However, now I have to go through a whole bunch of tests and have doctors explain to me a million things that he isn't even sure if I have and I am stressed out even more just thinking about it. My docotr thinks my hormones are most likely off and I am probably not ovulating. I am probably too worried for my own good but I really want a family and I am terrified that once the doctor has all the information he is going to tell me I can't have kids or something like that. Has anyone else had hormone problems or "reproductive issues?" I am 22 and although I love my husband a lot and I talk to him about this stuff, I just need a woman's perspective on the whole thing.

I have severe PCOS sounds like it may be your diagnosis...its not the end of the world. I've had a rough go because of it and see an endocrinologist just to treat it...it kicked in when i hit puberty and i wasnt officially diagnosed until i turned 30 because a lot of drs wont recognize it as a real condition...well actually they do now a days but they didnt used to. At 18 i had a cyst the size of a 10 pin bowling ball (my drs actual words) that was removed from my left ovary and they had to remove my left fallopian tube because it was so damaged...i tried over the years to have kids...but i dont ovulate on my own...and being off the pill makes the PCOS flare up to an entity of its own...all that being said...im now 37...i have a daughter who just turned two and i'm 25w preggo w/#2 :) . Modern medicine is amazing...you need to make sure you find a good dr that understands the disorder you have what ever it may be so you get the best treatment possible. Thanks to clomid i was able to ovulate and concieve...even with only having one tube!! You have plenty of time to have kids so dont let it get to you. I never thought i could have kids...ever. I hope this helped :)

I am glad to hear I am not the only one with this kind of problem. I am waiting to hear from the doctors but that is sort of what I think I have as well. my problems didn't start to really show up until a few months after I stopped the birth control pills. I go in on thursday for a pelvic ultrasound to check a few things as my doc says. Next week I go back to the endocrinologist to see what my blood test show.

Btw Congrats on your daughter and your 2nd bundle of joy and thank you for sharing it really does make me feel better.

My sister was told she could never have kids. She went in to have a historectomy (not sure how that's spelt), and the doctor told her he couldn't perform the operation because she was pregnant.

There's a positive story for you. :)
