Horrible Acid Reflux

I'm only 7 weeks pregnant and I'm already having horrible acid reflux, feels like a burning ball in my throat. I've been taking Zantac 150 two times a day, tums when needed and sometimes Gaviscon. Nothing helps!! Any advice?

My doctor prescribed Nexium but my insurance doesn't want to cover it, so it would be over $200 out of pocket. The pharmacist said it's because it's so similar to Prilosec, when the drug company lost their patent for Prilosec, they removed a isomer and named it Nexium. (Similar to what happen with Celexa and Lexapro) I don't get how Nexium is category B and Prilosec is C?

How did you get your insurance to pay for it?

My doctor prescribed reglan too, but the side effects have me scared! Do you notice any side effects, and how often do you take it?

When zantac didn't work for me my doc gave me reglan. It helps the digestive tract move along faster. Try it!

Ice cream helped me early on, and chocolate milk. I get bad heartburn now and nothing I do anymore seems to help. try changing your diet and don't eat before you go to bed. I use to not eat 3 hours before I went to bed and I wouldn't get it. Also talk with your doctor to see if they have any suggestions.
