I need help... blood tests?

my boyfriend just died a couple days after we had unprotected sex my birth control wasn't working and he thought he had a vascectomy but a parently he didn't... I need to know how likely it is that a blood test could be wrong because I really think I'm pregnant but I'm not sure... because it was negitive. Should I just wait till my check up and keep worrying, should I go out and buy prenatial vitamins even though I'm not sure?... What should I do?

Honey, u need to get an over the counter pregnancy test it has been long enough that it would show positive if u r pregnant..if it is negative chances are it is just stress....keep us posted..

2 weeks sence i was suppose 2 hav my period...

Blood tests wont give inaccurate results.stress will delay ovulation,in turn making your period later.try to relax until you have been back to your doctor.women not knowing they are pregnant is normally due to them not testing.im not saying it dont happen,but stay calm until you know for sure,but im guessing your not.all the best hun.

well im not sure on how he wasnt possitive about that..he said he thought he got one but the doctor keep saying he didnt need one and everyones telling me "he was too young to get one," because he was only 19... i heard that blood tests could b wrong due to stress... And theres a show called "i didnt know i was pregnant" all about girls who go though that, so im not sure whts going on

Im sorry for your loss.blood test are generally accurate,hun you just lost someone special this is enoght to mess anyones body up.maybe its due to your loss.try not to panic yet.give it few more days.

I am sorry for your loss. How was he unsure if he had a vasectomy? That is something a person would remember, I am pretty sure. The blood test are pretty much right on. You might of missed your period due to the stress, that can cause a missed period. Hope all works out

thanx you guys, well i missed my period it was suppose 2 b a week ago and im never really off... most of me is hopeing i am, some of me is not so much... I love children and i wana b a mom but things r gona b hard i'll b a single parent @ only 16! i think i can do this though, he definatly desirved to hav children, its jst a little (alot) earlier than expected...

im sorry to hear that...im going through the same thing! i have all the signs, 3 p test= neg and 3 bw test=n. i look like im 5 or 6 months preg- i feel movement, but i have my periods, they actually last longer then norm. i have 2 children that almost died at birth, so my obgyn called n said she dont care wat the blood work says, i have to get an ultra sound the next day. my apt is ar 3:30 today, if im pregnant i wilol be sure to let u no... wish you the best in everything..

I am very sorry for your loss. Blood tests are usually pretty accurate but I guess there is always a chance. Keep us posted and good luck!
