How do I stretch the perineum?

I know squatting works but my knees are bad since I've gained so much weight. I have a birth ball. Is there anything I can do on that to stretch the area to get it ready for birth? Or any other exercises or tips that work?

I'm 40 weeks

I would honestly reccommend the website Kelly gave you! It works great... Helped me with my last one.... And believe me, it's easier and less painful to tear than to be cut.

I've heard sitting on the floor with your legs crossed helps.  Good luck!

This is a website that I went to a while ago. I will be 36 weeks on monday and ive been doing it since 34 weeks. Its uncomfortable at first. Its worth a try!!
