need some other opinions

Last Night They Let Me Come Home From The Hospital, I Was Having  Contractions. Well Long Story Short They Gave Me The Shots To Help Develop His Lungs Faster And They Sent Me Home With Medicine To Help Me Stop Contracting!  I'm Not To Sure I Want To Take Those Pills Because To Me That's Not Letting Him Come When Him And God Want Him To. I'm 33 Weeks What Do Y'all  Think I Should Do Take It Or Not?

I did take the pills! Three separate times with my daughter! I went to l&d four times in three weeks before they finally let me stay to have her. I was 37 weeks which was considered full term then. I went from 4cm to 6cm over night so they broke my water and she was born 6 hrs later! If your body and baby are truly ready they will only with for so long. With my son i took the pills once and went into l&d several times but my water finally broke on its own at 38 weeks. I understand being tired and frustrated but hang in there!

I feel like thats a really selfish question. Theres a reason they gave those to you. You're baby would end up in the nicu if it came now. The doctors arent going to give you something that isn't right. Just because baby is trying to come now doesnt mean its him trying to come, its probably your body. My body has tried to pop both of my kids out early. My daughter at 34 weeks(i delivered her at 37 weeks)and my son at 27 weeks(i delivered him at 38 weeks). Thank god they both made it to term, were healthy, and didnt have to spend any time in the nicu. Everyone is ready to meet their baby the second they find out their pregnant but you have to do what is best for baby.

Ok, Thanks Ladies! I Guess I'll Take Them. I'm Just Getting Very Tired, Frustrated, And Restless That I've Had So Many Complications In This Pregnancy And Just Want It To Be Over And Have My Little Boy Here. But I'll Take Them Since They Said I'll Only Have To Take Them Until I'm 35 Weeks.

I would take them. The pills are to stop baby from coming too early right? I think if you're 33 weeks the baby still needs to grow and develop.  If born too soon baby can have problems and be stuck in NIC U being poked and having all kinds of test and wont be able to come home until the hospital feels safe that baby is ok. You really dont wanna have to see your baby in that situation.  Take them and take as best care of you both. Get rest and eat well and later when baby is more developed it will happen.

33 weeks is really early, you definitely wouldn't want any complications with baby's health and development. Maybe pills are your best bet at pro longing the process and keeping baby in there and as safe as possible. Sounds really scary, I hope everything works out!

I would go ahead and take the medicine...if he IS meant to come into the world right now then the medicine will not work. But just to be safe and keep him in there a little longer, personally, I would take it. :)
