How long can bh last

I've been having back pain since 12:30am, it is now almost 2 hrs later and the pain is still there. Its not getting worse, but its not going away. I took a warm shower and changed position and they cramping in my back won't go away. How long should bh last. Im 39+3 so im hoping this is it. Input would be really apreciated.

It's now 6am still contracting, but no change in intensity I called my Dr and he wants me to go in and see him at 8am. The pain is still the same and still 8-10 min apart. Im trying to do a vbac so he wants me to do most of my  laboring  at home until the contractions are 5 min apart. Thank you for sharing maybe im having the same experience as petitewonder.

when my contractions started... they started around 3am.. but didnt pick up until 8am (they were like 10 minutes apart then...) it still took until 12pm toget them to be 5 minutes apart.. and since i didnt find it that painful, i was hesistant to think i was in labor.. SO I didnt end up  goign to the hospital until 8pm...  at that point, I was 6 CM.  the baby wasnt born until 943am ..

So my input is labor can last a long time before things seem to get worst.. and mine didnt really get worst until 8cm...  mine felt consistently the same and they were not that bad....   If they were BH, they would not be consistent..  Drink 3 glasses of water and lay down on your left side, if it continues then it is not BH

It's probably not braxton hicks if it's lasting that long. Possibly false labor but maybe actual labor and you're not progressing. With my first I would not progress naturally after for days of having contractions 10 minutes apart and being dialated to 3 they induced me and I took off and my son was born less than 4 hours later. If it continues for to much longer I would probably head to l&d
