Ugh.. So sorry. I know how much you wanted this. I wish I had an answer for you but I just wanted to send warm thoughts your way.
Normally I would say that there's a possibility that your dates are off, but since you got your bfp in November and was on clomid, I just don't see where your dates could be four weeks off. I'm sorry for your loss.
As for how long it will take you to miscarry naturally...there's just no time table. Sometimes, your body doesn't realize it's miscarried, and will continue to hold onto an unhealthy pregnancy. This is called a missed miscarriage, and it requires a pill to get things going or a D&C.
Do you have a follow up appointment?
oh no I'm sooo sorry, :( with my miscarriages the doctors gave me 2 weeks for it to occur naturally, then they advised a d&c, they are all different, have you been re-schedualed in for another u/s or bloods to see if your hcg levels have started to drop yet?, once they start to drop then you know things are on there way, on the positive side, you know know that you can get pregnant, so when your ready to try again you have a wonderful chance of having a healthy pregnancy, with or without the help of clomis , once again I'm soo sorry for you
They did my blood and said they will call tomorrow n let me know if my levels r up or down. I don't see how my dates could b wrong unless I ovulated later then I'm thinking. 2 weeks ago my hcg was 1,900 something , non of this makes since
I wouldn't think your dates would be wrong because you were on Clomid. as well as having symptoms at 3 DPO. For those to occur implantation would have already had to have happened, so you couldn't have ovulated later. Even IF you ovulated late, your dates should not be off by 4 weeks. What is your doctor planning to do? Are they giving you time to naturally miscarry?
2 weeks ago my hcg was good n on track, would my levels rise if the baby died???
They can, though usually at a slower rate. How many draws did you have, and how far apart were they? If your body doesn't realize the baby has passed then it does nothing to expel anything.
i had a miscarriage in jan 2011 , and at 6 weeks the baby stop growing and dr gave me 2 weeks to come out of my system , but actually came out in 10 days. u never know stay positive until u talk to ur dr u never know , i pray for u and ur baby :)
I has blood taken at what should have been 6 wks and it was almost 2,000. Today was my first ultrasound, I didn't see the doctor today. They said they will call me tomorrow with my results n proceed from there. They said I might have an ultrasound next week.
So you only had one blood draw done. One isn't enough to determine viability, they should have done multiple ones. In a viable pregnancy the hCG will double every 48 hours or so, and rising/declining levels can indicate what is going on.
It's possible for your levels to be higher than the nearly 2,000 that they were at two weeks ago, or they could have dropped. Sometimes, even when the baby has stopped growing, your body will continue to produce hcg because it thinks it still needs to sustain the pregnancy. That's why some women need to have a D&C. The main thing is to have a repeat ultrasound if your levels are even slightly higher than they previously were to make sure that it is indeed a miscarriage. But, at this point, being four weeks off, it doesn't sound good. My ultrasound with my daughter was only a week off, and I was using clomid as well. But, I knew that it would be a week off, because I knew I didn't ovulate on cd14, but ovulated a week later. Especially since you got your bfp on the 14th of November, you should be farther along then 4 weeks.
Ya I know it's not good!!! I've cried since we were there so I know what's coming
i am so sorry. i know its very hard. when i was diagnosed with MC on 1/12/11 i cried like hell. because baby stopped growing after a week. i was 6wks and 5days but it was still same at 8wks and 2days.
i always say why doctor has not done there research on clomid. i swear 70-80% women i met had MC with first round of Clomid. to be honest in two years time i have only met 2 or 3 women who actually said that they conceived with clomid on 1st round and carried on with that baby for 9 months.
i was disappointed myself. but MC is a MC. it can not be helped. i have just started to bleed slightly heavy. it took me 2 wks to start MC. i would have been 10wks.
do not worry if you conceived on 1st round of clomid. after this MC i am sure you will conceive straight away again. :)
i am sorry again sweetheart. i can feel your pain :'(.
I conceived on my first round of clomid and carried my baby to term. The clomid itself doesn't cause the miscarriage, imo anyways. There's lots of different reasons for miscarriage such as poor quality eggs, chromosomal abnormalities, low progesterone...there's just too many reasons to be able to pinpoint what exactly what caused it.
you would be my 3 or 4th women i met who actually carried on with baby with first round :). i know there are many other reasons. i have PCOS so i always had less chance of either getting pregnant or MC. it just can't be a coincidence that whoever i met they all had MC with clomid. unfortunately it has happened and as i said MC is a MC. nothing can be done.
Aww hun, I'm so sorry you're going through this. It is a devastating and heartbreaking thing to go through. Cry all you need!!
Oh I been crying! I'm just praying for a miracle!
