Ahh I see - well that makes more sense now with your explanation so because I seen girls saying oh I'm x months but then they are only so many weeks. Or disputing theres forty weeks And I was like ehh u ain't lol.. Counting that way is literally from start to end of each month inclusive.
Either way its always 40weeks :)
No problem :)
And no, ash060115, you aren't. That's true. However you are considered to be "in" your first month of pregnancy. My OB/Gyn broke it down to me in the way above when I became confused as to why his nurse referred to me as 4 months along at 14 weeks. It's true you have not completed your 4th month, but you have begun in to the fourth month, therefore are no longer 3 months. It why when this method is used, the phrasing contains the word "in." It isn't that it's wrong or inaccurate. It's that there are often miscommunications in its explanation- when people are even told how many months they are along now. Almost everything is given in just weeks anymore, to prevent the confusion of infant sized you just mentioned among other reasons.
Your not a month pregnant at one week...
this is why loads of people think their babys are measuring big or ahead .
But howinever
Thanks super nerdy mom, that was probably the best breakdown ive seen so far. There are different ways to break down into months. Some people go heavy on weeks in the first trimester or go heavy on the last trimester. I like how the one above is done. And there are 52 weeks in a year, not 56. If not going by lunar calander, then remember every month is not 30 days. Its anywhere from 28-31 days.
The most common weeks to months break down as cited by baby2see.com
Your First Trimester: week 1 til end of week 13
1st Month = Weeks 1,2,3,4
2nd Month = Weeks 5,6,7,8
3rd Month = Weeks 9,10,11,12,13 Your Second Trimester: begin week 14 til end week 26
4th Month = Wks 14,15,16,17
5th Month = Wks 18,19,20,21
6th Month = Wks 22,23,24,25,26 Your Third Trimester: begin week 27 til birth
7th Month = Wks 27,28,29,30
8th Month = Wks 31,32,33,34,35
9th Month = Wks 36,37,38,39,40
You are considered to be "in" your seventh month.
Anyway maribelgarcia if you get confused just remember there is a simple solution - devide your weeks by four... that will give you how many months pregnant you are :)
I marked my milestones into my phone calender - its good to count down with too :)
Congratulations your soo close x
Lunar calendar
4 weeks to a lunar month
4x10=40.
Pregnancy is calculated in lunar months every four weeks in another month done.
When you hit 10months ie. Fourty weeks you hit your due date..
you can't say ok im one month pregnant from weeks 1-4 , your not a month until you reach four weeks.
Each 4th week makes one month
Lol I agree with 10 months of pregnancy ...your expected delivery date is set on the 40th week wich is the 10th month
It does not. Lol but think what you want.
There are certain months with different ammount of weeks. Im not saying that at all. Im just saying 40wks equals 10 months lol
So your saying for the last 2 months of that year equal 16 weeks?
4Wks in a month... 4 times 10 = 40..... so, yes, technically if you go full 40 wks, you were 10months pregnant lol.
There are 12 months in year -_-
If pregnancy was 10 months your saying 2 months of the year equal 16 weeks there are 56 months in a year just in case you didn't know
Actually shes right there are 10months up to when u deliver
Technically yes there are 10 months..
There are not 10 months in pregnancy thre are 9 Google pregnancy calendar
20 = 5
24= 6mths
28= 7MTHS
32=8mths
36= 9
40= 10
So your 7mths 1week pregnant
