waiting & worried

So I had my first ultrasound yesterday and the tech was not positive, he could see a pregnancy sack and yolk but no foetal pole :(  I'm 7 weeks.
My bloods came back high and my doctor is positive all is ok and that we should wait 2 weeks and check again.
I really hope all is ok and that these 2 weeks go fast and we get to see some positive results on the next ultrasound.
I understand that the results are not looking in my favour but im so happy my doc is happy to wait abit longer and see how things progress.
Has anyone experienced something similar or have any advice?

i had an early u/s cause i noticed a very small amount of spotting, this is my first pregnancy so i might've freaked out abit at the time :)
on tuesday my hcg was 40,660, thats why the doctor was still happy.
im hoping im just abit early.
i used opk and got a positive at cd16 so i would assume ovulation occurred somewhere between cd16-cd18
ive been feeling alot worse (nausea) the last couple of days so fingers crossed im just abit ahead in my dates.
thanks for your replies ladies, it really does help to vent and get some advice :)

Maybe you aren't actually 7 weeks. Could have ovulated later. Good luck with the next ultrasound!

A lot of women can't see the heart beat for 8 wks... My doc told me to get a good first ultrasound ur hcg needs to 20,000 if I heard her correctly sobi would not worry only being 7 wks

I've heard many women say this has happened and everything turned out well! So I wouldn't worry or stress over it! :)) I'm sure you have a healthy bean waiting to sprout :)
