My girlfriend and I are active sexually; the other night she was on her period (light flow) and we had unprotected sex.  I did not ejactulate in her.  She was a week early on her period, as well.  She is terrified that she is pregnant right now.  I haven't the slightest idea about the menstrual cycle as it pertains to our situation.

Also, we're going to see if we can get the morning-after pill....... but it's been a rough week.  Any answers?

if you don't get the morning after pill within 72 hours usually a doctor won't give it to you. and as joy said....it's a rare chance but it CAN happen. i've known friends who've gotten pregnant while on their periods.

I do not understand why anyone wants to have sex duing "that time" but that is besides the point!!!

Anyway, the morning after pill is not something you should just go off and get because you're scared. It is a high dose of hormones meant to cause a girl to miscarry/abort if an egg was fertilized. It can cause her to have abnormal bleeding.

I highly doubt you are pregnant. It is possible but VERY RARE to become pregnant during a period. Just take it easy and don't freak.
