How to not throw up

At your glucose test. I had to do the three hour test today and right when I was almost done with all of the water I upchucked the stupid sugar water. So now i have to do it again on Monday. So I was just wondering how you ladies avoid throwing up. They're going to give me anti nausea medicine before the test and im gonna drink some water beforehand so it won't be so strong. Any help would be MUCH appreciated :)

Just try to focus on other things, thats the only thing that helped me. Once I got my mind off of it I was alright but dang, the sugar rush and the crash after were almost as bad as the drink!

That nausea medication will definitely help. Be prepared to be very hungry about half an hour afterwards!

I can only have water beforehand because they're only going to allow me to have 1/4 cup of water while drinking the sugar water :p that's pretty much nothing! Lol. I know the minute I threw up in started crying cause I knew I was gonna have to take it again.

The nausea meds should help. Also sipping on water throughout helps too. It's so gross!! LOL. That and I kept reminding myself that the more I throw up, the more times I have to repeat the test LOL
