Hyperemesis Gravidarum

21 years old and of a light build (lighter by the day) I've been vomiting since week 4. I thought this was normal. By week 5 I was throwing up 10-15 times a day... By week 6 it was every time I ate or drank anything. (including a sip of water) At the end of week 6, I had stopped passing urine and went too AnE in a zombie like condition. I was hospitalised and quickly diagnosed... I was put on a drip and given 3 different types of antisickness meds. I was kept in for four days, slowly I started too feel a little more human. I was happy too finally leave (and be rid of that horrid canular!) I've been home for a little while now, Friday is the start of week 8. :) However... I'm finding, despite the anti sickness... I'm still vomiting on arrange of 10+ times a day. It's becoming normal too sit and read books endlessly... I've been signed off of work and I'm craving the normality of doing my job. (Or even being able too shower without intervals too vomit.) I need too know, is there anyone out there in this situation whos found something that helps?  Or anyone who's been through it and has any advice? The only thing keeping me going is I know the baby is well,  with a good heart beat and all signs being positive for him/her.... At least I can keep that in mind. But I'm desperate too find something else too keep me sane. Any advice is welcome. I'm all ears. <3

I was the same way and diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum mine finally subsided around week 20. I still get nausea bits sometimes and I have an increase in saliva still due to hyperemesis, but I'm sorry to say nothing helped me. I just suffered through it and ended up going into the ER every 2 weeks for hydration and fluids because that was the only thing my body allowed. Good luck dear. I know how it is and I understand completely.

Right. I'm finally home from the hospital. I'm on ondansetron and prochlorperazine. They appear to be working... I'm crossing my fingers!  :)

Threw up a grand total of 20 times yesterday evening. Not pleasant. Woke up this morning feeling better, the drip is working it's magic and as I can't throw up meds as they're being administered via the drip, I'm not throwing up! Sadly I can't stay on a drip for 7 and a half months!! So looking for a pill/pills that will do the job!  :/ I can see a light, now if it could just hano within reach that would be wonderful! Thank you for all advice and kind words!  I'd love too have a magic fix. But for now, just being able too eat is a blessing,  even if it is hospital food. ;)

The main one I'm on its metoclopramide. I'm not 100% sure of the others names and I don't have them too hand at this moment. But they're definitely not called zofran. The ones I've been taken were prescribed by the doctors in the woman's hospital and I was told they wouldn't harm the baby. :)

Zofran isn't pregnancy safe. I wish you well. Just don't take Zofran!
