Hypermesis Gravidarum

I was diagnosed yesterday with hypermesis gravidarum. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this and does it get any better? The doctor said I will have to have Iv fluids every couple of weeks? Is this true?

I have this. I ended up being hospitalized cuz i couldnt keep even a sip of water down and was verg dehydrated. I lost 20-30 pounds with this pregnancy in the first trimester. I was put on 2 oral medications plus a shot that i had to get every week. Im currently 22 weeks, still fight the nausea and puking but its nothing like it has been. I only take 1 oral medication a day to help with this. Just hang in there!
