I agree low levels of tsh is hyperthyroid ( where your thyroid works too well so tsh is lowered) while high levels are hypothyroid, (where thyroid has to work harder so tsh is elevated) , I would mention your concerns again to your doctor I think both thyroidisims can cause early miscarriage, low birth weight and still birth etc, my tsh is 2.8 and is too high for conception and pregnancy so I'm in the middle of visiting doctors etc to get on medication, I do also know if its too high during pregnancy it can also cause baby to be born with mental problems as well, I just found a site for normal tsh levels during pregnancy: first trimester 0.1-2.5 mIU/L
second trimester 0.2-3.0 mIU/L
third trimester 0.3-3.0 mIU/L
its abit different to the range you've been told, its on about.com, thyroid disease/the effects of pregnancy on the thyroid and tsh levels
To be clear MY THS level was low indicating Hyperthyroid. i discribed it wrong i guess
If its low its hypothyroid, high would be hyperthyroid and if it is indeed low I don't understand why she isn't getting u on medication. I found out early in my pregnancy that I have hypothyroid and my primary doctor immediately put me on thyroid medication. She said that low levels can be dangerous during pregnancy and puts you at risk for miscarriage. I've been on medication for 2 months now and just my levels rechecked and my levels are back up and good but i have to stay on the medication and they will keep monitoring it.
I never had issues with my thyroid until this pregnancy and I know my levels were normal in the beginning but now (36 weeks) on meds for under active thyroid idk if it will go away after or not and only symptom I had was being overly tired for a majority of my pregnancy
