I had this too, frustrating to research for sure. Basically they can treat you now but it'll probably come back. It poses no threat to you as an adult, but it does to baby because of the lack of antibodies and weak immune system. The most effective way they've found to protect baby is to just give you the antibiotics right before delivery (4 hours is usually the time they shoot for). I didn't even notice the antibiotics since I was already hooked up with an IV anyway. It shouldn't affect anything else in your birthing plan. :)
Yes don't worry about it .. I was informed today that i tested positive too.. And my midwife ensured me that it isn't a big deal at all.. They didn't even give me any antibiotics they told me that they will deal with it when i am delivering ..
Okay. Thank you, that made me feel a lot better! :)
I'm pretty sure it's only when your pg! They will give you an iv an hour before labor so the baby doesn't get affected by it and it really isn't a very big deal if treated correctly which it sounds like it is and will be! It's very common alot of pregnant women get it! It's more common with 2nd pregnancys! Don't stress about it you will be just fine
