I am about to give up ttc (Trying To Carry), can someone please help me?

I was supposed to be an identical twin. I was the only baby that formed but as a result i have a Bicornuate Uterus and a membrain that seperates my vaginal area along with my birth canal in half. When I get pregnant my body doesn't produce the HCG hormone like it is supposed to. I can get pregnant, but have trouble carrying. My last cycle was June 13th of this year. in July i took 5 home tests and all 5 showed up positive. I was pregnant. I am at 14 weeks. Today I had to go up to the hospital because i started bleeding. They took me straight back. All they did was a urine test and when my HCG level came back as 2 they said i wasn't pregnant and sent me home. They didn't want to listen to what i had to tell them about my condition with my body and HCG. The person that discharged me from the hospital told me that his girlfriend is the same way ... that she was at 9 months and had an HCG level of 4. Is there a way to tell doctors what is going on so that they understand and actually listen? I am getting tired of trying to have a child (been trying for over 10 years now) just to miscarry because the doctors just won't listen. I am 30 years old and have been trying since i was 18.

I have an appointment on the 30th with my OB/Gyn. The medical procedure that every doctor has told em about involves sterilization by cutting my uterus open and removing the "membrane" that seperates the 2 uteruses and the birth canal. It would correct the problem but my uterus would fill with scar tissue as well as my birth canal. *sigh*  I will keep you informed of what my new ob/gyn tells me. This is the third OB/Gyn that i have had since i had my virginity stolen from me when i was 11 years old. There was no damage ... physically ... from it happening.

Right now I am having bad cramps and it feels like yet another miscarriage is in the process of happening to me. *cries quietly on the inside*

After I had a miscarriage, I borrowed a book from the library about a father's journey with his wife thru pregnancies and miscarriages.  One thing I remember from that book was what you described ...have a partition of sorts in your uterus.  I believe there is a medical procedure to help correct it, but you'd have to speak to your own OB/GYN about it ...I'm sure there's lots of tests to be done, etc.

You mentioned going to the ER, but have you spoken to your own OB about your problems?  Perhaps you should speak with a specialist or a high risk doctor.  I hope that you can get everything worked out and you're able to have that baby you've been trying so hard for!
