I fell pregnant on Roaccutane
My last mentration started on 8 June. I took my last Roaccutane 20mg on 12 June. I had sex on 15 June & 18 June. My period never came on 21 July. 14 July confirmed pregnancy. OB says 5 weeks??? I was taking the Roaccutane once a week. I am very concerned about birth defects please advise.

The prognosis is not good and the decision has been made to terminate but the silver lining is that I am NOT infertile as was previously diagnosed. Finding out that I can get pregnant is the best news I've ever received!
Thank you for your replies & support..... I knew the dangers of Roaccutane ... but my doctor told me I was infertile... that's why this pregnancy is so incredible!! I will definitely let you know what the specialist says.
It is best if you talk to your doctor about this situation. It may be dangerous, it may be not. Doctor will tell you best! The good thing is that in early pregnancy fetus is adjusting in uterus but placenta is not formed completely yet so the bad stuff doesn't go to the baby directly yet. I am not a doctor though. You should explain to your provider how long you've been taking it, tell him exactly what you wrote above, and see what they say. I hope everything will be allright. Don't wait though. i think you already know that its a very good chance every article i pulled up said as huge as it could do not get pregnant severe birth defects and you have to meet the iPLEDGE requirements so i'm sure you've been advised many times of the dangers of getting pregnant while taking this drug even for a short time but if you need to look it up again and talk to your doctor good luck
