DHA is Omega 3. But not fish based. You can buy it from any drugstore. I use EXPECTA LIPIL brand. There are different brands available as well. You can buy Prenatal+DHA, but regular prenatal does not have DHA in it. My doctor said DHA is very important for babies development.
Well... if you have a second test why not? If you don't have an extra I wouldn't go out and buy another test. Instead your doctor will verify your pregnancy using their own tests in their office. I would wait about a week before scheduling that because their tests are not as sensitive as the ones you can purchase at the store and you may get a false negative at the doctor's office (which then causes all sorts of panic and torment for you). This happened my last pregnancy. I had a positive test, doctor's office said no, went in for blood test and verified I was pregnant. I think my levels were even close to 200 and most tests pick up 50 or 100 at the doc's office.
So moral of the story is to wait until your levels rise enough to be easily detected by your doc's urine test. Call your OBGYN in the morning and tell them you had a positive test. If you do not have an OBGYN you can use ratemds (website) to find some in your area (might be listed under gynecology or obstetrics). Or you can go to your regular doctor and they can refer you to someone after verifying your pregnancy. Whatever you're comfortable with.
Now you must know that most doctors will not even see you for a first prenatal exam until you are 8 weeks or more. That is the standard practice for today. When you find out you are pregnant you are usually about 4 weeks pregnant by that time (average). So while you may go in for a urine test you won't actually get a physical or have a prenatal appointment for another month or two.
You need to take prenatals. DHA is something found in prenatal. Folic acid is actually important to take as well.
thanks so much i still cant believe it,what does DHA stand for sorry all new to this? thank you so much for your reply.
Congratulations! Two pink lines mean you are pregnant. Call your doctor to start prenatal care and take your prenatal vitamins and DHA.
Good luck
