I just found out

My boyfriend and i have been together for awhile, he's amazing and always said there is no worries about babies, he would love one. Today I took two tests (ept) because im a couple days late, both didnt hesitate to say positive. Im at work now and cant wait to run home and tell him. Im already reading up on what to do and how to dtart off on the right foot. My question is to mothers and expecting mothers, whats a good prenatal? How long do I have to wait to be excited about this baby as in, whats a good frame of time where I wont lose the baby or miscarry! Im just so excited.

You can be excited as soon as you get a positive reading. You just have to take good care of yourself to avoid any miscarriage. Do not fall, eat accordingly, etc. Taking prenatals prescribed by doctors. 1st trimester, you need a lot of folic acid (found in vegetables and fruits). If you worry you are having less, your doctor will definitely prescribed you with a supplement that contains folic acids and other vitamins for your baby's development. Half way through your 2nd trimester, you can reduce the intake of folic acid and replace it with iron and omega 3 supplements. Your doctor would prescribe these supplements as soon as your baby is developing it's brain cells and need a lot of iron, calcium and fish oil (omega 3) for further development. Based on my own understanding, these are just my basic knowledge as far as i know. I'm already on my 3rd trimester and i am still taking iron and omega 3 supplements till my due date. :)

I think miscarriage goes away at about 26-28 weeks or something like that and then it's considered pre mature labor, I'm not a 100% but i think that's around the time, there are points throughout pregnancy chances of babys survival goes up and up. just relax and enjoy! it's exciting, as for prenatals, just about any unless your aenemic, then you may need an extra dose of iron in them

You can be excited any time! The chance of miscarriage never goes away. Your Dr will tell you which prenatals are best for you, they are all basically the same thing but some have higher iron in them so its just better to ask.

Chances of a miscarriage never go away but significantly go down after your first trimester. Do not think negatively though. Be excited now!!! Its your baby :-) Your doctor will give you a prescription for prenatals at your first appointment but I've done ALOT of comparisons and to be honest generic ones from like a rite aid aren't any different than expensive ones.
