I think I am pregnant but the tests are coming back negative. I would be 6 weeks along. Is it possible my horomone levels aren't high enough yet?

I have been extremely exhausted and all I want to do is eat. At first I thought it was depression and then my breasts started to get tender and more full. They hurt to the point where I can't even hug someone tight or move around to much without noticing the pain. I have never experienced pain/tenderness in my breasts with my periods. The last time I can remember them hurting was when I was 12 and just getting them! If I was pregnant it would have happened 6 weeks ago.  I have had one period in that 6 weeks but it was only two days long, when usually they are 4-5 days long. I am on Yaz and have not missed a pill. I don't feel any hardening but when I press in certain areas below my belly button I can feel pain, when usually my menstrual pain is only on the left side and not the middle. I have heard that if you don't want to be pregnant you can psych yourself out but can I really make my breasts hurt this badly? I have taken 3 at home pregnancy tests that were all negative. They were the cheap ones from the dollar store but that is how my friend found out she was pregnant.  I don't have insurance so I have not seen my doctor about this.  I am due to start my period in 6 days. If I don't start or have another unusual period I will go to the store and buy the more expensive one. Any other advice? Or opinions on if you think I am pregnant or not?

I am sorry I meant that I don't feel any hardening at all. Just pain with touch to my lower abdomen. I have been on Yaz for almost two years and never have experienced my breasts being tender. I mean they really really hurt. Thank you for all your help! I got a number for a Women's center in my area that I can go to tomorrow for a test. I will keep you updated!

2-day periods are considered normal periods and should be counted as such.

What you're experiencing now may be ovulation symptoms or pre-menstrual symptoms. You could also request a sonogram from your doctor, especially if you have hardening and tender spots in your lower abdomen. Women don't usually feel their stomachs hardening in very early pregnancy because the womb sits under the pubic bone until week 12.

Being on Yaz myself It is verycommon to either have short irregular peroids or none at all! With that being said you have not officially missed a peroid so i would wait until you have fully missed it to spend anymore money on tests! Yaz happens to be a GREAT birthcontrol and if taken properly has a 99.9% effectiveness!!! Keep us all posted on what you find out! (BTW  if you have a Birth Rite in your area they do Free Pregnancy testing)
